Il
Grifo is a stone-built farmhouse situated at the center of a working
farm in Giragnano, in the hills to the north-east of Lucca. The area
is renowned for its outstanding beauty, and there are lovely views
of the countryside from the garden of the property. The house has
been immaculately restored by the owners, who have divided the accommodation
into two parts, making it ideal for two families wanting to holiday
together yet retain some independence. The ground floor is interconnected
but the first floor is divided and reached via two different staircases.
To the front of the house, there are two covered terraces, one of
them furnished for dining outdoors. Despite being much simpler than
most of the other properties offered on this site, past clients have
appreciated the outstanding beauty and the lovely views of the
countryside from the garden of Il Griffo (especially from the pool
area). To the back, about 20 meters away,
live the housekeepers, who are very helpful and sell wine and olive
produced on the estate. Their house is accessed by a separate road
and in no way interferes with guests’ privacy.
