In
a sunny position on the slopes of the Luccan hills is an ancient "borgo" (a very
small village), Fubbiano, with old country houses, wine cellars and an olive oil mill. The
"borgo" is overlooked by the main villa, a typical Tuscan building dating back
to the 18th Century. In the grounds there is a private swimming pool in a panoramic
position overlooking the plain of Lucca. Beyond the garden and terraces there is a small
oak wood with a shady path leading to an ancient fountain. Clients can buy white and red
D.O.C. wines and extra- virgin olive oil, among the best in the Lucca area. Nearby, are
the "Grotte Giusti Terme", a health spa and beauty centre, where guests staying
at Fubbiano will have special terms. Mountain bikes are available to rent at the property
and guided tours in the surrounding area can be arranged. The
English speaking management is available for assistance and can arrange
guided tours in the surrounding areas.
