Villa
Il Giardino is situated in a very quiet position, high in the village
of Positano, the centre of Costiera Amalfitana. Internationally renowned
as an important tourist and commercial resort, the area was often
visited by famous people. Positano is easily accessible by rail and
road, and has a small harbour where it is possible to take ferries
to the islands of Capri and Ischia. From Il Giardino there are spectacular
views over the garden, the village of Positano, the coastline and
the sea. This property takes its name from the beautiful, terraced
garden to the front of the house, which is almost unique in a steep
village like Positano. At the bottom of the main garden there is an
"orto" (kitchen garden). The interiors of the villa are
comfortably furnished and facilities include a fax machine and satellite
TV. A particular feature of the house is the very light sitting and
dining rooms, which open through French windows to a beautiful terrace
overlooking the garden and the sea. There, it is possible to arrange
cooking services for the guests. This property is located in the
historical part of Positano and therefore not reachable by car. The
nearest parking area is approximately 300 meters away, and parking
spaces can be arranged in advance. From a narrow, winding road it
is possible to walk down the beach of Fornillo. It is possible
to have air conditioning in the bedrooms at extra cost. The
owner spends part of the year in an independent apartment in the
lower ground floor.
